Description:

Position available for a software engineer with excellent Java programming skills. Develops, maintains and documents software for a wide range of areas so the ability to work on multiple product sets is critical. Will participate in the design process may take a lead role in that process. May assist in the software support through code level problem review and analysis. Expected to be a part of the testing process through test review and analysis. Expected to take ownership, maintain awareness of new and related technologies, and lead change where necessary to ensure product leadership.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or comparative work experience

  • Understanding of networking and socket communication

Description:

MWA Intelligence, Inc. (MWAi) is searching for a highly motivated individual that is looking to expand his/her current skill set with minimal supervision. MWAi will provide a comprehensive training program based on proprietary technology and as part of the training program, the individual will be mentored by a Senior Support Specialist. The Systems Support Specialist is responsible for resolving remote computer software, network, paging, telephone, hardware and telemetry problems reported by end-users or managed proactively by MWAi IT systems. In addition, you will provide technical phone support to the install team during customer installs. Most importantly, you will be working directly with our end-users helping them increase operational efficiencies as they utilize our solutions on a daily basis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Individual must have high school diploma, a Bachelor Degree is preferred
  • Individual must possess all skills necessary to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux and Microsoft
  • Working knowledge of Blackberry applications is helpful.

This person must be familiar with principles of Software Quality Assurance and Software Testing Methodology. Applicant should be able to design, develop and execute test cases, test plans, and tests for Windows and Linux applications. Applicants should have familiarity with the software development life cycle, configuration management, defect tracking, metric reporting and automated testing tools.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or comparative work experience
  • 3-5 years of Software Quality Assurance experience, working with Quality Assurance analysts and programmers on Windows and Linux applications
  • Must have experience with basic SQL queries; preferred experience with Microsoft platform, Linux and Java
  • Must be experienced with handling customer defect issues that are escalated from the support organization
  • This person must be familiar with principles of Software Quality Assurance and Software Testing Methodology
